Game of Thrones pillows collection

Hodor!

When my brother told me about Game Of Thrones (GOT), few years ago, I just took that info and told to myself:“OK, you’ll download that series and watch it, no big deal!“

He was speaking about show in superlatives, everything was „high-extra-great-wonderfull-the best“, and while he was so deep into describing it, I tought to myself how somebody can be so much addicted on tv show…

Now, few years latter, he is still just ordinary fan, but, in other hand, I become completly freak about GOT; not just tv show fan, moreover, I have read all the books and I addicted myself so much I can’t even imagine a single day without thinking of Westeros, or visiting the wiki of ice and fire, reading articles about my favourite characters (there are several of them, and they are still alive, although Valar Morghulis!)

Beside all history facts, geography or politics of Westeros  & Essos in which I am involved, there is a dozen of affairs I am involved.

Even my facebooks homepage is full of imaginary characters pages; all memes, pictures, quotes, quizzes, challenges, games, jokes, news, spoilers, everything about GOT.

Finally, the reason why I am writing this blog is because I wanted to upload several pictures online, and, of course, I wanted to put them together.

There is the point:

While I was overloading my brain with GOT, one great idea occurred. I thought how wonderfull it will be if I would somehow have in possession a lot of pillows with sewed sigils of the great houses of Westeros…then, I asked my mom if she will be kind enough to sew them for me and she said historic yes; YES!

My duty was to bring materials (canvases in all shades, needles, coloured strings)  to her and to supply her with everything she needed.

One thing more, I drew all sketches on canvases and then, she sewed sigils according to the existing sketches.

The biggiest problem was (and that could be noticed on the pictures) that I couldn’t find appropriate shades of given colours for some specific houses sigils, so in some cases it’s not 100% identic as GRRM described them. Also, another problem was hiding in the fact I couldn’t drow sketchs on the black canvases, thus one of mayor houses remain undone. Guess which-Targeryans. At first, I tried with night watch sigil (black crow across black canvas), but I’m not satisfied about output…need to find solution about next one.

Right now, I have 17 pillows, and we have in plans ~10 more; but, I need to wait winter period because my mom will have more free time then. During previous winter season, she sewed those 17 pillows.

Pure and platonic love song

This beautifull love song tells about one love at first sight, pure and platonic, with a soul of poet spilled into the paper.

Just while you reading it, you can feel ti, right?

The poet, Predrag Živković Tozovac, is one of the greatest serbian folk-singers, also poet and musician.

I translated a poem into English, with keeping the original sense and with conveing feelings that the poet put into those verses.

you were as runaway bird from someone's hand;
wild and scared at the same time,
neither his, nor yourself, nor mine ...

you were lost in one tavern in the province,
You walked wearily between tables while sun was rising;

you were there from no reason, as my friends acquaintance,

I was just one little curious male bird lost in one early morning...

in the middle of the picked up taverna's chairs kingdom...

It was one ordinary morning,
it was one ordinary winter,
and you told me then, just ordinarily: "I am Mima ..."

You were laughing, and then, you went in one of yours sunrises,
and still, neither your, nor his, nor mine ...

I stayed there, to sit with some odd people,
between picked up pub chairs...
 

And... who knows what You thought of me then?!?
Maybe that I am the tippler, fool, or nothing...
and you never ever thinked that also I am a bird escaped from someone's hands,
from some life of exile ...

you left behind  in your shelter,
covered with hotels  blankets ...

Only it took place without your false friend and the tavern in the province.

Say no to SOPA & PIPA - SLAP IN THE CAPITALISM FACE!

Pretty wierd, ha?

As I over reacting when I saw that wikipedia blacked its homepage, I beleive that all of you reacted same as I...

First off all, one question run through your mind – WHY is it blacked?
After that, you could felt scary and unsecured about your future (re)searchings via wikipedia.
Then, you started investigate yourself how actually you were (and you are) linked to wikipedia, and free taking off knowledge at all.
And finnally, the last feeling overtakes you – FEAR!
Why fear?
Because, you realized that you couldn’t just the smooth continue with your  all day works without all habits and gadgets you already used to!
You suddenlly getting some strange feel about curiosity about 999 things which you could checked on wikipedia, but, you know that you can’t do it, at least in next 24 hours...
Then, you felt in impatience and you just can’t wait untill tomorrow...
Yes, free knowledge become our drug! The drug of world wide masses!
After this algorythm review of yourself wiki-addicting and getting wery wierd negative results, you deffinitlly asked yourself, what the fu*k means the SOPA & PIPA!?!

Thus, SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) and PIPA (PROTECT IP Act (Preventing Real Online Threats to Economic Creativity and Theft of Intellectual Property Act of 2011), knowned as proposals of U.S.’s government in 2011. regarding to fight online trafficking in copyrighted intellectual property and counterfeit goods as well as a proposed law with the stated goal of giving the US government and copyright holders additional tools to curb access to "rogue websites dedicated to infringing or counterfeit goods", especially those registered outside the U.S, respectivelly.

As wikipedia mentioned yesterday, those two frases were the most common used words in the servere search engines at all the world!
Every single internet user on planet fliped up when realised that WIKIPEDIA was out off order, even just for 24 hours!

Why the U.S. gowernment wants to do something like this!?!
Why they want to take taxes from (so far) free knowledge?
Did you asked yourself sometimes:
-    How meny daily users have wikipedia?
-    How long they (wiki) have posted banner regarding asking for donating money to them?
-    Did enyone payed even few dollars?
-    As u.s. registred web site, after making „pay for knowledge“ system, even government will male a finansiall gain.
-    Althdough, they will take adventage and put monopolly against all other countries, ect.
...Que sera, sera, whatever will be, will be...
Just first reaction of the wikipedia leading people was impresed me!
They could just saw to the world: „u.s. wants to start paying using of our servise and there is nothing we can do!“, after that, simply share the earned money between themselves and everybody happy!

But, noooooo!
They did a REAL DEAL! They made a right move, stayed consistent with their own ideas and to the company policy and give hope to humanity that money is not everything in life!
That reaction of them could be called: SLAP IN THE CAPITALISM FACE!

Only thing we can do is to declalre that we are against those new laws, at the way we could!
Wikipedia already describe the way of participating.

I am aware that all wikipedia employees are well paid and have all the accompanying regardless ne metter  the knowledge that they offer is for free!
They simply showed that they are not so easy and corrupted!
I hope that owners and wikpedia board directors will be strong enough to step up to U.S. government and, with help of users, i.e. US (not united states, but we) persist and become much more stronger, and, of course, forever FREE!

So close, but so far, too! (La Manche bound)

When the water is only bound between two countries, then that bound can be easily shaken either  by some little force.

If you ever read the novel  "1984" by George Orwell, then, this little story will be interested for you.

But, if you're not read it jet, this post will make you interesting for that book and then you will wont to read it, and then again, my mission will be accomplished.

For the begining, let’s face with some historical facts and consequences that those facts brings to us.

First of all, The Hundred Years' War (picture above) can’t be so simply deleted from the memories of the descendants of people who have died for their homeland. Even for 1000 years, that won‘t be forgotten, never.

I wonder if it was the only conflict in the Europe area from the history...
 

Thus, under all the masks and quasi democracy, and quasi unification of all countries that are inherently different because they carry within them the people of different races, religions, cultures, languages ​​... in this times you can’t just create a unified Empire which, in the ideals of their theoretical power should be side by side, just as one unified People's Republic China, or great Russia, or even the vast U.S., that it's unity above all well-founded, and had a great privilege, all 52 states in the U.S. use the same language!

Although enormous over human efforts to make it happen, states have changed their currencies, educational systems, social issues have changed dramatically, workers can’t retierment in ages as bewore, they must work a few years more, people works more, more money is spent, workin' class is subordinate by them leaders, all to create some sort of empire ... but, THEY FAILED. They failed because they made empire which doesn’t serve to anything ... because heads of states have neglected one “little” thing - HISTORY, history which is common to all of them!

History which every single state has wrote for itself for many years, and which, on the opposite sides, contained just of the current members of the same comrade of the Europian Union.
To be honest, all the leaders of the current states are like “time-tempin' bombs”, and they can’t wait the moment when another one will be downgraded by them, and, moreover, raised themselves, because the tails are drawn from the past.

“Miserable is the one that has someone else to humiliate, to elevate himself” -  "the old wisdom"

In this post I will avoid mighty Germany, because it is a story for itself, and, if you would agree, they had more violenter history than any other, but now I will certainly look back on a “The Hundred Years War” that was occurred beetwen France and Britain.

* It should be noted that both of them were the colony impires, and that fact earmarked them, unlike the small states, which were in the past only defending against various emperors, and whose descendants still carry the purest blood characteristics of patriotism and honesty and moral values ​​of his dignified knights countries; these colonists were “honoring” their descendants with desire for others properties, they get “more complex values” too, and desire for oppression and covert manners of slave owners ...

Such people, a mixture of those characteristics and qualities in the people whose countries are now strong enough to tailor the destiny of other nations in Europe, they can only make some kind of crap, that is certainly happened, because none of them makes global objectives, neither sets goals which will be good for union, but only to their own goals with interwoven benefits, that is a main reason why all of The Europe is currently “aparting at seams”.
 

The Kingdom of Great Britain had, if you look back, a lot of difficulties to join the E.U., regard it’s  applied in 1961, but had to wait for receiption fully 12 years, and, you guessed it, France was the opposed one. The then president, Charles de Gaulle, who had the opposition argued by the fact that Great Britain was maintained very close relations with the U.S., so, in the case of Great Britain entry into the E.U, U.S. could  have indirectly influensa throut further formation of the E.U, but it is clear that the French bother joining of the The Kingdom of Great Britain because of the painful history that they wrote together, just from different sides ...

 Of course, Great Britain is facing by joining the E.U. as a political integration, but primarly as an economic benefit in which a limitation of national sovereignty issue was not raised.

 

Today, The Kingdom of Great Britain is unique, some would say, favored, in the E.U. position in the community, given that it kept its currency (£), also has special requirements on entry of foreigners into the country (stricter criteria than the Schengen Agreement), and therefore it is geographically separated from Europe, it seems alienation and “relationship coldness” between continental E.U. and the so-called “The island”.

 
The same geographic division is mentioned by George Orwell in the book “1984”. ... he was just then, “made” divisions at the world into Oceania, Euroasia and Eastasia.
In each of the empires ruled the omnipotent “Big Brother”.

Judging from the scenario that occurred in Europe currently, President of France, Nikolas Sarkozy  would like the most to become a “BIG Brother”, from a multitude of reasons, but he had too strong competing in the appereance of “BIG Sister” with steel hag, the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

In the novel, Big Brother have four ministries (love, truth, peace and plenty), but the rulers of the E.U. have a few more, blaming the image under the auspices of democracy propagating sexual liberty, soft drugs, and animal rights more than the rights of hungry children, and anything else that is contrary to the basic principles and rights of healthy human being!
Of course, all this by terrifying obsessional mechanisms ... in the novel, it’s The EYE of the Big Brother, but, in reality of the EU, that tool is use to called: “MASS Media”!

During the story in novell takes a place in Oceania,  as the main enemy of Oceania (which at that time was in pact with Eastasia) mentioned Euroasia.
It is that union called Oceania, mayor members were U.S. and The Kingdom of Great Britain, and the name Oceania named because those two members of the alliance were dividing by Atlantic Ocean.
Although Orwell in his story gave the novel predictions about how the world might look like if they took the orthodox Stalinism planetary dominance, that is not so far from the present and democratic society, ie, “cruel capitalism”.

Today, relations between Kingdom of Great Britain and the rest of Europe, led by Nikolas Sarkozy, are quite shaken, and people can smell the intolerance between these states!
Relationship between France and Kingdom of Great Britain is artificial and it’s only a matter of time before escalate.

Although some people says that capitalism is the highest form of democratic society and that democracy can only be developed into more completer forms of capitalism, there are those who would disagree with that fact, because the era of capitalism tramples all moral values ​​for their own goals, that SACRET money!

In all of us is one protagonist of the "1984", one sleepy character of Winston Smith.

Wake up, you sleepy Winston Smith! World needs you!
